As Board Chairman of the Mercy Health Clinic, I have had the pleasure of working closely with our Executive Director, John Kleiderer. For the past 3 years, John’s advocacy for the Clinic has been marked by intelligent professionalism, enthusiastic involvement, and to paraphrase our motto— a lot of heart. He has made my job very rewarding and he has become a respected and trusted friend.
A few weeks ago John met privately with me to tender his resignation from the Clinic. He informed me that his family had made a big decision to move closer to relatives in Washington state. John will be in a great new role with a top hospital system in Spokane and he was gracious enough to give us plenty of time to execute a seamless transition plan. His last day at the Clinic will be June 19.
Of course we’re sad to lose John as our face to the community. He has distinguished himself in many ways and has tirelessly given his all for the benefit of our neighbors in need. For that, he deserves the gratitude of not only the staff and Board of the Clinic, but also the larger community we serve within Montgomery County. Please join me in thanking John for his service at the helm of the Clinic and in wishing him and his family all the best in their new adventure.
Welcome Aboard, Mark Foraker
Our search for a new leader led us almost immediately to Mark Foraker, MS, PMP. Mark completed an intensive interview and evaluation process and impressed everyone who met him. On behalf of the Mercy Health Clinic’s Board of Directors, I am happy to announce that Mark has enthusiastically accepted our offer to serve as our next Executive Director.
Mark is a seasoned nonprofit executive with plenty of experience right here in Montgomery County. His experience and training include fundraising, grant writing, project management, working with volunteers, relationship management, strategic planning, and nonprofit and association management. Most recently Mark has held leadership positions with St. Luke’s House (now Cornerstone Montgomery) and Manna Food Center.
Transparency and integrity have always been deeply held values across Mercy Health Clinic’s leadership team. We are providing this announcement now so that our valued stakeholders can be confident that a smooth executive transition is underway. Quality patient care remains our top priority. Our plan provides for uninterrupted clinical operations and our dedicated staff is up to the task.
Questions, comments, and ideas are always welcomed. For now, please join me in thanking John Kleiderer for a job well done and in welcoming Mark Foraker to our team.
