Twenty four years ago, on October 3, 2000, a group of committed community members recognized that living in one of the country’s most affluent counties was no guarantee of healthcare, and they opened Mercy Health Clinic.
The core concept that was true at our founding – that everyone deserves access to high-quality healthcare – is still central to the work we do today.
From the initial four patients seen in the Clinic that first day to the 2,700 we expect to serve throughout this year, the dedicated team at Mercy works to ensure that our low-income, uninsured neighbors in Montgomery County have equitable access to the essential healthcare they need to care for their families and contribute to our community.
